Kutchi Dabeli | Dabeli Recipe | Recipe No. 99

Dabeli is a Street food which was originated in Kutch (Gujarat). Therefore it is also known as Kutchi Dabeli. It is very popular street snack which can be easily found in many parts of India.

For making dabeli we will require few things which can be easily prepared at home such as potato masala, sweet tamarind chutney, masala peanuts and other things which are easily available in market such as onions, pomegranate seeds, pav and nylon sev.

Dabeli Masala, the main ingredient of the dish is readily available in most of the cities all over India sold under various brand names mainly manufactured and packed in Kutch (I will be mentioning the brand name of the Dabeli Masala which I have used below with the ingredients).

The process to make dabeli is very easy. We just have to assemble all the things which I have mentioned above.

Serving – Will serve 5-6 people

Ingredients –

  • Boiled and Mashed Potatoes – 3 Cups
  • Oil – 4 Tbsp.
  • Dabeli Masala – 3 Tsp.


  • Red Chilli Powder – 2 Tsp.
  • Salt To Taste
  • Sugar – 2 Tbsp.
  • Water – ¾ Cup
  • Pomegranate Seeds
  • Roasted Masala Peanuts
  • Finely Chopped Onions
  • Nylon Sev
  • Tamarind Chutney
  • Butter
  • Dabeli Pav

Instructions –

  • Heat oil in a pan and add in boiled and mashed potatoes.
  • Add in dabeli masala, red chilli powder and salt and mix and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Now add sugar and water and mix and allow them to cook for 5 minutes or till sugar fully dissolves and switch off the flame.


  • Now spread potato mixture on a plate and allow it to cool down.
  • Sprinkle pomegranate seeds, roasted masala peanuts and nylon sev on potato mixture.


  • Now take Pav and slit it horizontally into two equal halves and keep one side connected
  • Apply tamarind chutney in between the pav and spread potato mixture on it.
  • Add some finely chopped onions and roasted masala peanuts.


  • Now apply some butter on pan and toast dabeli from both sides until it’s crispy.
  • Coat the sides of dabeli with nylon sev and serve it with sweet and spicy chutneys.

Yogurt Sandwich is easy and healthy tiffin box recipes for kids. It’s a perfect recipe for those mothers whose kids don’t like to eat veggies at all.
Yogurt Sandwich requires Hung Curd which can be prepared by hanging your fresh curd in a muslin cloth until all its water drains out and lot of veggies which can be finely chopped or grated as per your choice.

Serving – 8 Sandwiches
Ingredients –

  1. Bread – 16 Nos.
  2. Butter or Ghee – For Grilling
  3. Hung Curd – 1 Cup
  4. Grated Cabbage – ¼ Cup
  5. Grated Carrot – ¼ Cup
  6. Salt to Taste
  7. Dry Mint Powder – ½ Tbsp.
  8. Black Pepper Powder – ¾ Tbsp.

Method –

  1. Take hung curd in a bowl and add in grated carrot and cabbage.
  2. Add in salt, black pepper powder and mint powder and mix.
  3. Spread the paste between two slices of breads and grill it from both sides with the help of butter until they are golden brown in color.
  4. Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup.

Notes –

  1. Sandwich can be prepared with any type of bread. I have used white bread.
  2. Other vegetables can also be added like onion, green, yellow or red bell pepper or as per your choice.
  3. Dry Mint Powder is optional. But if you have then add it. It will give nice taste to sandwich. Dry mint powder can be easily prepared at home by drying fresh mint leaves.

Aloo Matar Sandwich | Masala Sandwich | Bombay Masala Sandwich | Recipe No. 80

Sandwiches are very popular food item in India. These are available in number of varieties both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. Aloo Matar Sandwich is very delicious and popular dish in India which you will find with every sandwich wala (Sandwich Vendor) in India. It is an amazing recipe which is liked by everyone. It is very yummy street food which is popularly known as Bombay Masala Sandwich.

It is very easy and quick recipe which requires easily available ingredients such as potatoes, green peas, some spices and bread and butter. These sandwiches are best served for breakfast or with evening tea or you can have them during dinner also when you want to have something light. These sandwiches can be prepared in sandwich griller or on gas toaster or on plain tawa. These sandwiches can be served with tomato ketchup or green chutney or with both.

With these sandwiches I have beautiful memories. There is a place in Udaipur (where I live) i.e. Fatehsagar Lake (very beautiful place to visit), me and my family used to go there on every Sundays and sit there for long and use to order these sandwiches. It was fixed. Means going to Fatehsagar we have to order these sandwiches. We enjoyed every Sunday evenings with these sandwiches and we never get bored.

Servings – 12 Sandwiches 

Ingredients –

  1. Boiled and Mashed Aloo (Potatoes) – 4 Cups
  2. Matar (Peas) – ½ Cup
  3. Oil – 4 Tbsp.
  4. Asafoetida – Pinch
  5. Mustard Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  6. Cumin Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  7. Fennel Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  8. Finely Chopped Green Chilli – 1 Tbsp.
  9. Salt to Taste
  10. Red Chilli Powder – 3 Tsp.
  11. Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp.
  12. Coriander Powder – 1 ½ Tsp.
  13. Garam Masala – 2 Tsp.
  14. Bread Slices – 24
  15. Butter



  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fennel seeds.
  3. When seeds crackle add in finely chopped green chillies and sauté them for 2 minutes.
  4. Add peas and cook them until they are 75% soft.
  5. Add in mashed potatoes and mix.
  6. Add in red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.
  7. Add around 3 tbsp. of water and mix all ingredients properly.
  8. Allow potato masala to cool down completely.
  9. Take 2 bread slices at a time and spread potato masala on one bread slice and cover it with another bread slice.
  10. Apply butter on gas toaster and place sandwich on it and apply butter on top of it.
  11. Toast sandwich from both sides. Toast one side of sandwich for 2 minutes and roll toaster and toast other side for 2 minutes. Just open and check whether sandwich is ready from both sides. If not then toast it again for few more minutes.
  12. Aloo Matar Sandwich is ready. Serve it with onion rings, tomato ketchup and mint and coriander chutney.


Notes –

  1. I have prepared this sandwich on gas toaster. If you want you can grill it also.
  2. Spices can be adjusted according to your taste.
  3. Instead of butter you can use clarified butter (ghee) also.

Cheesy Corn and Spinach Sandwich | Grilled Corn and Spinach Sandwich | Recipe No. 72

Corn and Spinach is a Wonderful combination. You can make variety of recipes from it like different Curries, Snacks, Sandwiches, Stuffed Paranthas, Pastas etc. Today I am going to share with you a recipe of Cheesy Corn and Spinach Sandwich.

Cheesy corn and spinach sandwich is a grilled sandwich, creamy in texture filled with sweet corn and spinach filling. The process to make this sandwich is easy and quick. As it involve cheese, kids going to love this sandwich. You can also pack this sandwich in their Lunch Box.

Quantity of cheese can be adjusted according to your taste. As I love cheese a lot that’s why I have added more quantity of it. If you want to make it healthy you can avoid it also. As butter is used in this recipe, it will give nice creamy texture to the white sauce.

Servings – 10 Sandwiches


  1. Blanched and Chopped Spinach Leaves – 30
  2. Sweet Corn Kernels – ½ Cup
  3. Butter – 2 Tbsp.
  4. All Purpose Flour – 2 Tbsp.
  5. Grated Processed Cheese – 1 Cup
  6. Milk – 1 Cup
  7. Salt to Taste
  8. Black Pepper Powder to Taste
  9. Oregano – 1 Tsp.
  10. White Bread Slices – 20

Equipment Used – Grill Pan


Instruction –

  1. Heat butter in a pan and add all-purpose flour and mix.
  2. Sauté it until it gets light in color.
  3. Add 1 cup milk gradually and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add in grated cheese and mix and cook till the sauce gets thicken.
  5. Now add sweet corn kernels and chopped spinach and mix.
  6. Add in salt, black pepper powder and oregano and mix. (Use salt accordingly as we have added lot of cheese and cheese have salt)
  7. Take two bread slices at a time and spread prepared mixture on one bread and cover it with other bread.
  8. Heat grill pan and apply butter on it.
  9. Place sandwich on it and grill it from both sides.
  10. Cut Sandwich into two pieces and serve it with Tomato Ketchup.

बनाने की विधि
१. एक कड़ाई में बटर गरम करें और उसमे मैदा डालें और मिलाएं।
२. जब तक यह रंग में हल्का नहीं हो जाए तब तक पकाएं।
३. धीरे-धीरे 1 कप दूध डालें और लगातार मिलाएं ताकि कोई गिठाने नहीं बने।
४. कसा हुआ चीज़ डालें और मिलाएं और पकाएं तब तक सॉस घाड़ा नहीं हो जाता।
५. अब सॉस में स्वीट कॉर्न और पालक डालें और मिलाएं।
६. अब नमक, काली मिर्ची पाउडर और ऑरेगैनो डालें और मिलाएं (चीज़ में बहुत नमक होता हैं इसलिए उसी हिसाब से इसमें नमक डालें)
७. एक बार में दो ब्रेड स्लाइस लें और एक ब्रेड पर तैयार मिश्रण फैलाएं और इसे दूसरी ब्रेड से धक लें।
८. एक ग्रिल पैन को गरम करें और उस पर बटर लगाएं और गरम पैन पर सैंडविच रखें।
९. सैंडविच को दोनों तरफ से ग्रिल करें।
१०. सैंडविच को दो टुकड़ो में काटें और टमाटर सॉस के साथ परोसे।

Chocolate Sandwich |Grilled Chocolate Sandwich – Recipe No. 55

My today’s recipe is Chocolate Sandwich. Everyone’s favorite especially Kids. It is very quick breakfast or snack recipe. It is very easy to make. Even your kids can help you in making this sandwich. They will enjoy a lot as they will get chance to eat chocolate in between (I ate lot of chocolate while making this sandwich). You can use grated cheese or nuts of your choice also in this sandwich.

Ingredients (not specifying any quantity because quantity of all ingredients will depend on taste) –

  1. White Bread
  2. Butter
  3. Grated Chocolate
  4. Chocolate Syrup
  5. Melted Chocolate

Method – 

  1. Pre-heat sandwich griller
  2. Apply butter on two breads
  3. Spread grated chocolate on butter of one bread
  4. Drizzle chocolate syrup on grated chocolate.
  5. Cover it with other bread (butter side of the bread should be in)
  6. Apply butter on top of the sandwich as well as on griller also
  7. Place sandwich on griller and allow it to grill.
  8. Garnish Chocolate Sandwich with melted chocolate and grated chocolate.

CHAAT SANDWICH – Recipe No. 11

My today’s recipe is a mixture of Sandwich and Chaat i.e. Chaat Sandwich. It is a very simple recipe yet very tasty. Actually I was confused about what to make between Chaat and Sandwich, so decided to make combination of both and it came out awesome.

Equipment Used –

  1. Sandwich Griller (Prestige PGMFB 800-Watt Grill Sandwich Toaster, Black)
  2. Pressure Cooker (Prestige Deluxe Plus Mini Induction Base Hard Anodized Pressure Handis, 3.3 Litres, Black)

Prep Time – 15 Mins                       Cook Time – 10 Mins

Ingredients –

  1. Boiled Raw Banana ( Kache Kele) – 4 Nos.
  2. Boiled Black Chana ( Kala Chana) – 1 Cup (Pack of Kala (Black) Chana,1Kg by Pink City Foods)
  3. Boondi – 1 Cup (Bhikharam Chandmal Raita N Panipuri Bundi 200+200 Gm)
  4. Chaat Masala To Taste
  5. Salt To Taste
  6. Red Chilli Powder To Taste (Catch Red Chilli Powder, 500g)
  7. Bread
  8. Mint and Coriander Chutney ( it should be little spicy)
  9. Butter for Greasing
  10. Nylon Sev for Garnishing


Method –

  1. Mash boiled raw banana and add in boiled chana, boondi, chaat masala, salt, red chilli powder and mix well.
  2. Take two breads and apply chutney on it.
  3. Spread raw banana mixture in between two breads.
  4. Grease butter on sandwich griller and grill sandwich till it turns golden brown from both sides.
  5. Cut sandwich into pieces and garnish it with nylon sev.

Pudla are known as Chickpea Flour (Besan) Pancake. It is very easy recipe which requires chickpea flour (Besan) and chopped vegetables. It can also be called as Vegetarian Omelette. Today I am making it with some variation. I will make it on Bread.

Equipment Used

  1. Measuring Cups (Baking Measurement Measuring Cups And Spoons Set 8 pcs)
  2. Vegetable Chopper (Ganesh Vegetable & Fruit Chopper Cutter With Chop Blade & Cleaning Tool) – Lightening Deal is going on Amazon. Just Claim it.
  3. Non Stick Pan (Pigeon Special Non-Stick Aluminium Flat Tawa, 27cm, Black) – Lightening Deal is going on Amazon. Just Claim it.


Prep Time – 20 Mins                                      Cook Time – 10 Mins

Ingredients –

  1. Chickpea Flour ( Besan) – 3 Cups (Pure & Sure Organic Besan, 1kg)
  2. Red Chilli Powder – 2 Tbsp. + 2 Tsp.(Catch Red Chilli Powder, 500g)
  3. Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp. (Ramdev Turmeric Powder – 500 g)
  4. Salt to Taste.
  5. Water – as required to make thick paste
  6. Finely Chopped Cabbage – 1 Cup
  7. Finely Chopped Tomato – 1 Cup
  8. Finely Chopped Capsicum – 1 Cup
  9. Oil for Cooking
  10. Bread – 8
  11. Tomato Ketchup – To Serve With (Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup, 950 g)

{Vegetables like Onion, Cucumber, Red Bell Pepper, Yellow Bell Pepper can also be taken}

Method –

  1. Take a bowl and add in chickpea flour (besan), salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and water and make thick batter. (Add water in small batches so that lumps will not form)
  2. Now take another bowl and add chopped vegetables, salt and red chilli powder and mix well.
  3. Heat Non-Stick Pan and brush little oil on it.
  4. Take bread and dip it in flour batter and put it on pan.
  5. Top bread with chopped vegetable mixture and gently press it so that it sticks to the batter.
  6. Now cook bread from both sides properly in such a way that flour batter does not remain raw.
  7. Serve it with tomato ketchup.
