Strawberry Hot Chocolate | Hot Chocolate | Recipe No. 74

Hot Chocolate is a perfect way to enjoy cold weather. This rich and creamy hot chocolate is made with fresh strawberry puree. It is very easy and quick recipe which can be prepared within 15 minutes.

Fresh strawberries are easily available during winters so decided to add this flavorful ingredient to hot chocolate. If you don’t have fresh strawberries you can use frozen also. Just take care strawberries should be sweet and if not then adjust the quantity of sugar accordingly.

Serving – 4

Ingredients –

  1. Milk (at room temperature)– 3 Cups
  2. Fresh Strawberries – 10 Nos.
  3. Cocoa Powder – 3 Tsp.
  4. Chocolate Chunks – ¼ Cups
  5. Sugar – 3 Tbsp. or According to Taste

Instructions –

  1. Wash and cut strawberries into pieces.
  2. Add strawberry pieces into a blender and add in cocoa powder
  3. Add in 1 cup of milk and blend into a fine puree.
  4. Transfer puree to a pan and allow it to cook on medium flame.
  5. Add in 2 cups of milk and chocolate chunks.
  6. Mix and shimmer till the chocolate chunks melt and the drink turns thick and creamy.
  7. Now add in sugar and cook it till the sugar dissolves completely.
  8. Strawberry Hot Chocolate is ready. Pour it into different glasses and serve hot.

बनाने का तरीका
1. स्ट्रॉबेरी को धोए और टुकड़े कर ले।
2. स्ट्रॉबेरी टुकड़ो को ब्लेंडर में डालें और कोको पाउडर मिला दे।
3. अब उसमे १ कप दूध डालें और पीस ले और बारीक़ प्यूरी बना दे।
4. उस प्यूरी को एक कड़ाई में डाल दे और मध्यम आंच पर पकाना चालू करें।
5. उसमे २ कप दूध और चॉकलेट के टुकड़े डालें।
6. अच्छे से मिलाएं और उबाले तब तक चॉकलेट पिगल नहीं जाती और हॉट चॉकलेट गाडी और मलाईदार नहीं हो जाती।
7. अब उसमे शक्कर मिलाएं और पकाएं तब तक शक्कर अच्छे से घुल नहीं जाती।
8. स्ट्रॉबेरी हॉट चॉकलेट तैयार हैं। उसे अलग अलग गिलास में डालें और गरम परोसे।

Cholle Samosa Chaat |Crispy Samosa Recipe| Recipe No. 73

Samosa is a crispy deep-fried snack which is most commonly eaten snack across India. Stuffing of samosa can be either Vegetarian or Non Vegetarian. Samosa can be easily baked also. It is very simple and tasty recipe. Outer layer of samosa is prepared from all – purpose flour and inner layer consist of stuffing prepared from different ingredients like potatoes, peas, onions, raw banana, noodles, macroni, dry fruits etc.

You can have samosa with your evening tea or during your dinner time. In my family we have it during dinner time in the form of chaat by adding curd and different types of chutney.

Today I will be sharing this chaat recipe with a twist by adding cholle (white chickpeas) in it. It is very yummy chaat recipe and something different from regular chaats.

Serving – Will serve 4 people

Ingredients –

For Samosa Patti –

  1. All – Purpose Flour – 2 Cups
  2. Salt – 1 Tsp.
  3. Oil – 3 Tbsp.
  4. Water – ½ Cup or as required to prepare tight dough

For Samosa Stuffing –

  1. Boiled and Mashed (Partially) Raw Banana – 3 Cups
  2. Green Peas – ½ Cups
  3. Oil – 6 Tbsp.
  4. Finely Chopped Green Chillies – ½ Tbsp.
  5. Asafoetida – Pinch
  6. Mustard Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  7. Cumin Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  8. Fennel Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  9. Red Chilli Powder – 2 Tsp.
  10. Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp.
  11. Salt to Taste
  12. Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp.
  13. Garam Masala – 1 Tsp.

For Cholle –

  1. Boiled White Chickpeas (Cholle) – 2 Cups
  2. Oil – 3 Tbsp.
  3. Asafoetida – Pinch
  4. Mustard Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  5. Cumin Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  6. Fennel Seeds – ½ Tsp.
  7. Red Chilli Powder – 3 Tsp.
  8. Coriander Powder – 2 Tsp.
  9. Salt to Taste
  10. Turmeric Powder – ½ Tsp.
  11. Cholle Masala – 2 Tsp.
  12. Water – 2-3 Cups

Other –

  1. Oil for Deep Frying Samosa
  2. Curd
  3. Tamarind Chutney
  4. Mint & Coriander Chutney
  5. Cumin Powder
  6. Chaat Masala

Method –

Making Samosa Patti Dough

  1. Take all – purpose flour in a mixing bowl and add in salt and oil.
  2. With the help of water knead tight dough.

Making Samosa Stuffing

  1. Heat oil in a wok and add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fennel seeds.
  2. On crackling of seeds, add finely chopped green chillies and sauté it for minute.
  3. Add green peas and cook them until they are soft.
  4. Add in boiled and mashed raw banana and mix it with other ingredients.
  5. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix all ingredients properly.
  6. Allow stuffing to cool down completely.

Making of Samosa

  1. Divide dough into small lemon sized balls.
  2. Roll one ball at a time in oval shape and divide it into two parts.
  3. Take one part in your hands and keep straight edge on outer side and apply water on all sides.
  4. Now fold it to give it a shape of cone by overlapping one side over another.
  5. Fill ½ of cone with prepared samosa stuffing and seal the cone by pressing all sides tightly.
  6. Prepare all samosa like this only and deep fry them in small batches of 4 samosas at a time.

Making Cholle

  1. Heat oil in a wok and add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fennel seeds.
  2. On crackling of seeds add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and cholle masala powder and ½ cup of water and cook all spices.
  3. Add 2 cups of water more and allow gravy to boil.
  4. Add in boiled cholle and mix and cook it for few more minutes.

Making Cholle Samosa Chaat

Break samosa into small pieces in a serving bowl and add on cholle, curd, chutneys and sprinkle chaat masala and cumin powder on it.

Notes –

  1. Quantity of green chillies can be adjusted according to your taste. If you are making for kids then use less green chillies.
  2. At the place of raw banana you can use potatoes also.
  3. Spices can be adjusted according to your taste.
  4. If you want you can add onion and garlic also to cholle. I have not added them as I am making it a no onion no garlic recipe.

छोले समोसा चाट बनाने की विधि

१. सबसे पहले एक बर्तन में मैदा लीजिये और उसमे नमक और तेल डालिये और पानी की मदद से आटा गूंधिए।
२. अब एक कड़ाई में तेल गरम करें और उसमे हींग, राइ, जीरा और सौंफ डालें।
३. अब उसमे कटी हुई हरी मिर्ची डालें और पकाएं १ मिनट तक।
४. मटर डालें और पकाएं जब तक वो नरम नहीं हो जातें।
५. उसमे उबले और मसले हुए कच्चे केले डालें और मिलाएं।
६. उसमे लाल मिर्ची पाउडर, हल्दी, धनिया पाउडर, नमक और गरम मसाला डालें और मिलाएं और कुछ देर तक पकाएं और फिर उस मसाले को ठंडा करें।
७. आटें की छोटे निम्बू के आकार की गोलियां बनाएं और एक गोली ले और उसे रोल करें और उसे दो भागो में बात ले।
८. अपने हाथों में एक हिस्सा लें और सीधा किनारा बहार की और रखें और सभी किनारो पर पानी लगाएं
९. दोनों किनारो को एक दूसरे पर ओवरलैप करके कोन का आकार दे और उसमे तैयार मसाला डालें (१/२ कोन) और सारी किनारे अच्छे से बंद कर ले।
१०. ऐसे ही सारे समोसे तैयार कीजिये और तल लीजिये।
११. अब एक कड़ाई में तेल गरम करें और उसमे हींग, राइ, जीरा और सौंफ डालिये।
१२. फिर उसमे लाल मिर्चीपाउडर, हल्दी, धनिया पाउडर, नमक और छोले मसाला डालिये और १/२ कप पानी डालकर सारे मसालों को पकाएं।
१३. २ कप और पानी डालें, ग्रेवी को उबाले और फिर उसमे उबले हुए छोले डालें और कुछ देर के लिए और पकाएं।
१४. अब एक परोसने वाली प्लेट लीजिये और उस पर समोसे को तोड़कर रखे उस पर छोले डालें और दही और दोनों चटनी डालें और ऊपर से जीरा पाउडर और चाट मसाला बुर्के। छोले समोसा चाट तैयार हैं।

Cheesy Corn and Spinach Sandwich | Grilled Corn and Spinach Sandwich | Recipe No. 72

Corn and Spinach is a Wonderful combination. You can make variety of recipes from it like different Curries, Snacks, Sandwiches, Stuffed Paranthas, Pastas etc. Today I am going to share with you a recipe of Cheesy Corn and Spinach Sandwich.

Cheesy corn and spinach sandwich is a grilled sandwich, creamy in texture filled with sweet corn and spinach filling. The process to make this sandwich is easy and quick. As it involve cheese, kids going to love this sandwich. You can also pack this sandwich in their Lunch Box.

Quantity of cheese can be adjusted according to your taste. As I love cheese a lot that’s why I have added more quantity of it. If you want to make it healthy you can avoid it also. As butter is used in this recipe, it will give nice creamy texture to the white sauce.

Servings – 10 Sandwiches

Ingredients

  1. Blanched and Chopped Spinach Leaves – 30
  2. Sweet Corn Kernels – ½ Cup
  3. Butter – 2 Tbsp.
  4. All Purpose Flour – 2 Tbsp.
  5. Grated Processed Cheese – 1 Cup
  6. Milk – 1 Cup
  7. Salt to Taste
  8. Black Pepper Powder to Taste
  9. Oregano – 1 Tsp.
  10. White Bread Slices – 20

Equipment Used – Grill Pan

Instruction –

  1. Heat butter in a pan and add all-purpose flour and mix.
  2. Sauté it until it gets light in color.
  3. Add 1 cup milk gradually and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add in grated cheese and mix and cook till the sauce gets thicken.
  5. Now add sweet corn kernels and chopped spinach and mix.
  6. Add in salt, black pepper powder and oregano and mix. (Use salt accordingly as we have added lot of cheese and cheese have salt)
  7. Take two bread slices at a time and spread prepared mixture on one bread and cover it with other bread.
  8. Heat grill pan and apply butter on it.
  9. Place sandwich on it and grill it from both sides.
  10. Cut Sandwich into two pieces and serve it with Tomato Ketchup.

बनाने की विधि
१. एक कड़ाई में बटर गरम करें और उसमे मैदा डालें और मिलाएं।
२. जब तक यह रंग में हल्का नहीं हो जाए तब तक पकाएं।
३. धीरे-धीरे 1 कप दूध डालें और लगातार मिलाएं ताकि कोई गिठाने नहीं बने।
४. कसा हुआ चीज़ डालें और मिलाएं और पकाएं तब तक सॉस घाड़ा नहीं हो जाता।
५. अब सॉस में स्वीट कॉर्न और पालक डालें और मिलाएं।
६. अब नमक, काली मिर्ची पाउडर और ऑरेगैनो डालें और मिलाएं (चीज़ में बहुत नमक होता हैं इसलिए उसी हिसाब से इसमें नमक डालें)
७. एक बार में दो ब्रेड स्लाइस लें और एक ब्रेड पर तैयार मिश्रण फैलाएं और इसे दूसरी ब्रेड से धक लें।
८. एक ग्रिल पैन को गरम करें और उस पर बटर लगाएं और गरम पैन पर सैंडविच रखें।
९. सैंडविच को दोनों तरफ से ग्रिल करें।
१०. सैंडविच को दो टुकड़ो में काटें और टमाटर सॉस के साथ परोसे।

Sev Puri | Sev Batata Puri | Chaat Recipe | Recipe No. 71

Sev Puri is an Indian Snack and a type of Chaat. It is a Street Food originated from Mumbai, Maharashtra but now it is popular in all over India. It consists of puris made of all-purpose flour, mashed potatoes topping and different varieties of chutney. Recipe of chutneys is already there on my blog

  1. Red Chilli Chutney
  2. Tamarind Chutney
  3. Mint and Coriander Chutney

Puris used in this recipe will give nice crunch to the chaat. In vegetables I have used potatoes and onions. You can also use tomatoes, cucumber and raw mango. Chutneys used will give sweet, tangy and spicy flavor to the chaat. You can garnish it with pomegranate seeds or beetroot julienne.

It is one of my favorite chaat. At my home we have stored store-bought papadis and nylon sev in refrigerator and whenever we want to eat we use to make it.

Ingredients –

  1. Boiled and Mashed Potatoes (Not completely mashed) – 2 Cups
  2. Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp.
  3. Salt to Taste
  4. Puri (All Purpose Flour Puri)
  5. Red Chilli Chutney
  6. Tamarind Chutney
  7. Mint and Coriander Chutney
  8. Finely Chopped Onions
  9. Nylon Sev

Method –

  1. Take boiled and mashed potatoes in a mixing bowl and add salt and red chilli powder and mix.
  2. Take serving plate and place 8-10 puris on it.
  3. Place ½ Tbsp. of potato masala on each puri.
  4. Top each puri with red chilli chutney, mint and coriander chutney and tamarind chutney.
  5. Now top puris with finely chopped onions
  6. Now sprinkle nylon sev on puris (use nylon sev generously)
  7. Sev Puri is ready to serve.

बनाने का तरीका
१. एक बर्तन में उबले और मसले हुए आलू ले और उसमे नमक और लाल मिर्ची डालें।
२. एक प्लेट में ८-१० पूरी रखे।
३. उन पूरी पर १/२ चमच्च आलू का मसाला रखे।
४. उस पर लाल मिर्ची की चटनी, इमली की चटनी और धनिया और पुदीने की चटनी डालें।
५. उन पर बारीक़ कटा हुआ प्याज डालें।
६. अंत मैं बारीक़ सेव डाल दे अच्छी मात्रा में और सेव पूरी परोसने के लिए तैयार हैं।
